BRIEF

The brief was to create a new concept for the Stayhoff Hotels. A brand image had to be created that was unique to this facility and could also easily run through all of their interior spaces.

The design concept brief was based on creating a link between the locality of the space and adding features of style and fun as appropriate.

The main clientele of the hotel was professionals on mid to long stays, so the design had to fit this customer bracket perfectly.

SOLUTION

We created a contemporary design style that integrated local culture and heritage features. This provided a unique identity to the interiors, giving the hotel an element of “it could not be any high street in any town”, helping reinforce the individuality of Crown House and its location in the town of Reading.

Focus was given to the primary features through embracing all building and fit-out elements into the concept.

The design aimed to add interest and a breath of life to all spaces within the hotel while maintaining a professional feel.
