At Grigoriou Interiors we strongly believe that Quality Education should be available to everybody. We are therefore always looking for ways to share our knowledge – be that paid or not. We keenly undertake public speaking engagements to raise industry and social knowledge around sustainable design issues.

As part of all of our projects, whether the focus is on Wellbeing or Sustainability (ideally both), we are encouraging our project partners, subcontractors and suppliers to upskill. We believe that enhancing their skills will improve their thinking on other projects, even if we are not directly involved. This feeds back into our other goals, including ‘Climate Action’ and ‘Responsible Consumption & Production’.

We also believe in supporting and giving opportunities to students and junior designers who wish to specialise in sustainable design. We do so by frequently offering internships and work placements as well as inviting junior designers to join our team.

Elina Grigoriou is the author of the book “Wellbeing in Interiors: Philosophy, design and value in practice”. This highly illustrated guide explores how the design of interior spaces can impact on wellbeing, enabling interior designers and project teams to understand how specific decisions about sustainable design and materials can be implemented on a day-to-day basis.

Furthermore, we created a Design for Wellbeing online training course in which Elina shares the knowledge she’s acquired during many hours of reading and studying and makes it easily accessible to any Interior Designer and Architects.

And last but not least, we have supported and developed the SKArating Assessor and Industry Training Courses which are held regularly online and in person.

Overall, we value quality education both within our team, and externally to the wider design industry. This is why we have chosen SDG4, Quality Education, as both an issue to support, and a goal to drive us forwards.
